04/12/14 & 05/12/14 : Recitation Competition (Nursery) – The tiny – tots of Nursery A , B , C & D participated in the rendition competition held on 4th & 5th December. Their innocent renderation of age old rhymes brought back the memories of everyone’s childhood alive.
08/12/2014 : Traffic Park (Field Trip) (Sr.Kg) – 148 tiny tots of the Sr.Kg section visited the ‘Traffic Park’ in Dombivili on 8th December’14 as their field Trip. They were attended by two traffic policemen namely Mr.Sunil Chavanke & Mr.Sameer Ramchandra Thore who guided the children on
Ø how to walk on the footpath
Ø traffic rules while driving a vehicle e.g speed limit, wearing of seat belt, wearing of helmet on a two wheeler and honking of horns.
Ø Identification of traffic signs on the sign board.
09/12/14 : Community Helper’s Day (Jr.Kg) – The 9th of December’14 was celebrated as community helpers Day by the Jr.Kg blooming buds. To celebrate the indispensable efforts of the community helpers the Jr.Kg students dressed up as different community helpers and spoke about them.

15/12/14 to 17/12/14 – ‘Ganit’ Week Celebration – Mathematics is a subject that many students are afraid of and prefer to stay away from it. So an initiative was taken to celebrate ‘Ganit’ week in the school between 15th December’14 & 17th December’14 where various events related to mathematics were conducted. They were as follows –

Ø Views of Principal Mam
Ø Speech of Great Mathematicians
Ø Documentary (movie) on Chamatkar & Nano downloaded from the site ‘Vgyan Prasar’ screened.
Ø Poster Making Contest on the topic ‘Use of Mathematics’ in real life situation.
Ø Origami Competition
We hope these kind of activities makes the subject more interesting and removes the fear of learning of the subject!

18/12/14 : Red Day (Pre – Primary) – Bright red colour clothes and lots of excitement was seen on 18th December’14 in the classroom. The classrooms were decorated in red colour. Children brought one red object each and had a great object talk session. The following activities were conducted –

18/12/14 : Christmas Celebration – Children were dressed in beautiful outfits. ‘Santa Claus’ visited them classwise. The Christmas carols were sung melodiously by the choir group of the school’s music department. Children received snacks and gifts.
19/12/14 : Habitat for Humanity India – Rupee for change – Habitat for humanity is a global non-profit housing organization whose vision is a world where in everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat’s work is anchored on the principle that housing is a critical foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty. Rupee for change is a Habitat India campaign that engages schools in advocacy, volunteering and fundraising activities to support habitats efforts to rebuild the nation. A total amount of Rs.92,902/- was donated along with 2D Arts of a house using matchsticks, cotton, beads etc to the organization. The following prizes were given to the highest donors –

20/12/14 : 17th Annual Sports Meet – The 17th Annual Sports Meet was conducted on 20th December’14 at 3:30pm on the school ground. The chief guest for this function was Mr.Akshay Dewalkar an eminent Indian Badminton player. The meet included the following events – School Prayer, Hoisting of the school flag, declaring the meet open by the chief guest, march past, lightning the torch, oath(sports pledge) by captains, dance, yoga, mix mass drill, martial arts, chief guest’s address, all athletic final events, tug of war (parents), prize distribution, vote of thanks, declaring the meet close, lowering the flag, National Anthem.
Jeet Shah of IX/C won the 3rd place – Bronze in (KATA) moves & 2nd Place – Silver in (KUMITE) fight in the South Asian Open Karate / Taekwondo Martial Arts Federation of India under the guidance of Sensei Satish Choudhary at New Delhi held on 27/12/14 & 28/12/14
