CRAFT COMPETITION

Craft competition was conducted on January 8, 2016, for our Jr. KG and Sr. KG kids. The performance of the little ones was appreciated as they showcased their talent in a very impressive manner by beautiful newspaper collage by Sr. KG students and Origami by Jr. KG students.

MAKAR SANKRANTI: Makar Sankranti was celebrated on January 14, 2016, with great enthusiasm. Makar Sankranti is a very auspicious festival and kite flying is a very imperative part of this festival. Keeping this in mind, our pre-primary students did activities like colouring the kite and fork painting on the kite .These were displayed in their respective classes as well as on the notice boards. Children were dressed in their traditional outfits. “Godh Godh kha ani Godh Godh bola” echoed all over the corridors.  A fun-filled day enjoyed by both teachers and students.

PET DAY:   Pet Day was celebrated so that students realize the special bond they share with them.  This bond was expressed on January 18, 2016.  Children enjoyed bringing their pets to school and showing them in all the other classes and also to their friends.  They also spoke a few lines about them. Indeed, a day filled with excitement and fun.

NATIONAL LEADERS’ DAY:  National Leaders’ Day was celebrated by our Pre-Primary Department on January 22, 2016.  Children had come attired as National Leaders and paid tribute to our Motherland in their inimitable style.  Gaiety and Patriotic fervor marked National Leaders’ Day celebration at Birla School.

PINK DAY:  The Pre-primary Section celebrated Pink Day on January 29, 2016.  This day was of great fun for all who were involved and was designed to help the young children to identify and differentiate pink colour.  Teachers decorated their classes, corridors, etc.  Each section had different activities which were done by children and were displayed in their respective classes and notice boards.  Children were dressed in different shades of Pink. They spoke a few lines about the different objects they had brought for object talk. 

AWARDS RECEIVED BY OUR TINY TOTS

        Neel Sukenkar participated in the 2nd Chinmaya International Geeta Chanting Competition on Bhagavad Geeta Chapter 15 and won the 3rd Prize. 

        Vrushali Rao participated in the 2nd Chinmaya International Geeta Chanting Competition on Bhagavad Geeta Chapter 15 and won the consolation Prize.

Great Going Tiny Tots!!!!!...It is the beginning of a New World Around You.

REPUBLIC DAY:  The celebration of Republic Day is a moment of pride, joy, and enthusiasm for each and every citizen of our Nation. 

The celebration began with unfurling the Tricolour by the Chief Guest Mrs. Archana Saini, the Head of the Maths Department followed by singing the National Anthem.  Students of pre-primary, primary, and secondary sections sang melodious patriotic songs and filled everyone’s heart with patriotism. A mélange of activities created an atmosphere of national pride.

 

18TH ANNUAL DAY-SECONDARY SECTION

Students of the Secondary section of Birla School, Kalyan put together a scintillating evening interspersed with song, dance and skit to celebrate the 18th annual day program at Century Rayon Club, Shahad on 30th January, 2016.

The event was held on the annual theme `Future ready through innovation’. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony and the school prayer. A brief annual report was presented by the Principal highlighting the vision, mission of the school with an overview of academic performances of the students at different levels, events and competitions conducted throughout the year.

The outstanding students, subject toppers, the best house, the Kalam team, the band group and the choir group students were felicitated in the Prize distribution ceremony .The cultural evening began with the opening song `JaGaoMeraDesh.’ Other performances included a tribute to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a dance on skates, a robotic dance, alien dance, an instrumental music and a drama. Over all through the performances, the theme was brought out how India would be in the future with all its opportunities. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
